3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., www.hostinger.de. Data processing takes place on servers located within the European Union.

4. Server Log Files

When you access this website, the web server automatically collects and stores information in server log files, including:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Page or file accessed
  • Volume of data transmitted
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser and operating system used

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the stable and secure provision of the website). This data is not combined with other data sources. Log files are automatically deleted after seven days.

5. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the https:// prefix in your browser’s address bar and the padlock icon.

6. Cookies

This website uses technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website, as well as analytics cookies from Matomo, provided you have given your consent (see Section Matomo).

The legal basis for technically necessary cookies is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. For analytics cookies, the legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings tool on this website.

Cookies can be disabled or deleted at any time in your browser settings.

7. Contact Form

When you contact us via the contact form, your details (name, email address, and message content) are stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for any follow-up questions. Processing is carried out solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an email to the address above.

Your data will be retained until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent, or the purpose of storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Your data will not be shared with third parties.

Note: The use of the contact form in connection with the initiation of a mandate is subject to attorney-client privilege pursuant to § 43a of the German Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO). In such cases, your data will be treated with particular confidentiality.

8. Matomo (Web Analytics)

This website uses Matomo, a privacy-compliant open-source web analytics service. Matomo is self-hosted on servers operated by Hostinger International Ltd. within the European Union.

Matomo is used to collect and analyze data about how this website is used (e.g., pages visited, visitor origin, time on site). For this purpose, Matomo uses cookies stored on your device. The information generated is processed exclusively on servers within the European Union and is not shared with third parties.

The use of Matomo is based solely on your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TTDSG). You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings tool on this website. The lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal remains unaffected.

IP Anonymization: IP addresses are truncated prior to analysis so that they can no longer be uniquely attributed to you.

9. Newsletter Data

To subscribe to our newsletter offered on this website, we require your email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you have consented to receiving the newsletter. No additional data is collected unless you provide it voluntarily. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties.

The processing of data entered in the newsletter sign-up form is based solely on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent to the storage of your data – including your email address – and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “Unsubscribe” link included in every newsletter. The lawfulness of processing operations already carried out is not affected by such withdrawal. Data stored for the purpose of the newsletter subscription will be retained until you unsubscribe and deleted after cancellation. Data stored for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for a members’ area) remain unaffected.

MailPoet

For sending our newsletter, we use the WordPress plugin “MailPoet”. The provider is MailPoet Inc., a subsidiary of Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA.

The plugin is integrated into our website, which is hosted on servers operated by Hostinger International Ltd. within the European Union. Your subscription data (email address, salutation, first name, last name, and optionally title, company, position) is stored in our WordPress database on these EU-based servers.

In the course of plugin operation (e.g., license validation, update checks, technical diagnostic data), technical metadata may be transmitted to Automattic Inc. in the United States. Automattic is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transmission takes place on this legal basis.

When opening a newsletter email or clicking on links contained therein, technical information such as time of access, IP address, browser type, and operating system may be recorded, provided the tracking function is enabled in our MailPoet setup. Such analysis is carried out in aggregated form and serves solely to improve the content of our newsletter.

Data processing is based solely on your express consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the “Unsubscribe” link included in every newsletter, or by sending an informal email to connect@behrendt.ai. The lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal remains unaffected.

10. Objection to Unsolicited Advertising Emails

We hereby object to the use of contact information published in our legal notice for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and informational materials. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information.
